Arthur’s jargon buster
What does “On the same page” mean?
Agree or understand the same plan.
“Excellent. Now which page are we on?” — Arthur
In context
A manager may say this when people have heard different instructions. Agreement is hard to test unless the decision is written down.
A clearer version
“We agreed that Jo will send the quote on Wednesday.”
Where it gets vague
Repeat the decision, the person responsible and the date.
