Meet Arthur
Clear words. A little wit.
English Please is a plain-English project by Adrian Miles. It helps people untangle familiar business phrases, and have some fun turning ordinary sentences into corporate waffle.
What Arthur can do
The translator replaces a collection of known phrases in your browser. It is a phrase-based tool, not an AI service or a professional translation service. It may miss unfamiliar wording and it does not understand every context. Read the result before using it.
The jargon buster explains common expressions with examples. The situation guides cover work emails, meetings, job adverts, customer service and official letters.
Keep the meaning
Clearer wording should preserve dates, amounts, responsibilities and conditions. For an official letter, use the explanation as a starting point and check anything important with its sender.
Who is behind it?
